In 2019, the Swedish Fashion Council canceled Stockholm Fashion Week (SFW) on account of sustainability. The organizers wanted to explore more relevant and eco-friendly formats that would set new fashion industry standards. In 2020, the event had a digital re-launch with a focus on social and environmental sustainability.
This year, SFW is back with next-generation fashion experiences. As a strategic partner of the three-day event, Boozt is the first ecommerce retailer to stream a live video shopping event as part of the fashion week schedule.
To help prepare the industry for the future, Boozt focuses on investing in cutting-edge technology. The aim is to elevate the shopping experience and invite the community to genuinely connect with the fashion industry. The Boozt Watch & Shop will be broadcast daily, and it will feature highlights from the event. Viewers will be able to interact in real-time with the live video stream.
“Technology is playing an increasingly important role in the fashion industry, and in the past year, it’s become even more critical as brands are challenged to engage audiences via digital channels. We could not be happier to see Live Video Shopping be integrated into the main schedule for Stockholm Fashion Week and believe that it will be a key component in scaling strong and sustainable Nordic players like Boozt,” says Maryam Ghahremani, CEO at Bambuser.
